BLT 0.22 out; you can now install using 'sudo cpan App::BLT' anywhere- http://xrl.us/bjk2s

As of todays lunchbreak, uses XML::Tiny rather than XML::LibXML because its so much more lightweight.

has been profiled and runs a good bit faster (no discernable wait when you press return)

Getting in an infinite polling loop while attempting to daemonize considered harmful, or at least not admin-happifying.

blt no longer uses Net::Twitter, so is now both faster and easier to install

@blt: the answer is "not at all difficult" :)

I wonder how easy it is to roll your own Twitter library.

Still a bit slow. I need to see about removing Net::Twitter and writing it myself. That will also mean people don't have to install anything
