Still annoyed at the bloke on the bus earlier who pushed and pulled a blind guy to his seat without saying a word to him so he couldn’t use his stick, and snapped “well you aren’t helping him” when I said if he needed help he’d ask.

Urgh, this is my lived experience constantly. Even during the pandemic people grab me all the time rather than asking me if I need support. I've been campaigning about it for 4 years

It was horrible, he was totally fine, just asked me the bus number, and repeatedly told the guy manhandling him he was fine. Just grim and infantilising.

As a woman it often escalates really quickly as well. Like any asserting of my boundaries can end up with very aggressive, violent or sexually harassing behaviour. People completely ignore my consent, my go to response now is to just sort of flap & scream as they let go quicker

I've spoken about the way that men also use it as a covert way to act inappropriately / sexually assault me. Because my boundaries are less valid, people usually don't step in or say anything, so if they 'pretend' to help, they can get away with it.https://twitter.com/HeadlinerClip/status/1371482399092183041 …
