Some comments here remind me of one of my favourite stories from back home: I met Fred Hoyle when I was 10 at a summer camp my father got me in, but had no idea who he was. Only realized I had the chance to meet him when I was 24.
Do you remember anything from the meeting? The IUCAA camp must have been fun! The local rec center summer camps I went to at that age were pretty lame in comparison...

I have a few pictures at home. I can try to get my brother to scan them. :) I only remember a few things like one prof -- Chellathurai is the name I remember, who taught 4th and 5th grade students about Arithmetic and geometric progressions.

I find all this remarkable because my father never had the access and would go out of his way to find out interesting things for school students. :) He was right about this, since I returned every summer till grade 8 (No Hoyle after the first time) and enjoyed all the wonder.
