There's no solution for our climate crimes. All that remains are different flavors of failure and loss. We will be forced to choose from a very unappetizing menu. That's a hard sell on the campaign trail, so we wind up with variations on Hope and Change.

Don't think it's about fossil industry "power". The truth is vast majority of Americans actually support climate change. They know that the worst affected by it will be poor people in "shithole" countries, and they won't compromise their lifestyle to save them

The fossil fuel players will transition on their own. Covid has shown them what reduced demand, especially in oil, looks like. Once they start making serious efforts look for a lot of the climate change denial start to tamp down.

You're smoking the wrong stuff. They have fought tooth-and-nail against recognition of and action against impacts from carbon emissions on climate. It is inconceivable that they will now roll over and die.
