almost without exception. every single time we've covered it's been a palpable ratings killer. so the incentives are not great.
or maybe there are better, more engaging ways to cover climate that cable news just haven't hit on yet

It seems the only ethical constraints on companies* that run news services are norms. Easily violated norms. There’s no normless reason for them to cover things that don’t generate clicks. How do we survive with such a system? * be they hedge funds, monopolies, vaudeville.

I like that you're basically admitting that your business is structured such that it provides a negative value to America by drawing attention away form issues that are literally life and death. Historians are going to be absolutely brutal to modern news organizations.
