This puts the UK in the same position as US and Norway in being approved 3rd-party users of Galileo. I imagine Canada might seek the same. I said this to the UK House of Commons Brexit Select Committee 2 years ago but many still think Galileo is off limits to UK MoD.

Essentially what the UK already has with the GPS P/Y and M-Code with America, it will also have with Galileo's PRS with the EU. There is no value-added reason for the UK to build a third global navigation satellite system (GNSS), or Brexit System (BS), especially given the cost.

On a related topic, I also appear in the latest edition of Belgium's
@mondiaalnieuws magazine in an article on the politics and strategy of GNSS infrastructures. (Flemish-language article)https://www.mo.be/analyse/iedereen-gps-soeverein …Prikaži ovu nit

Which given technological, military, and political realities, most UK military operations will involve EU member states to some degree. However, I'd see that as a line in any treaty to haggle over and open it up a bit if I was a UK negotiator.
