As a gay man myself I honestly don’t see why they had to make him gay other than the fact to put OW back into the spotlight after the Christmas 2018 event was the least played event since launch. It feels so tokenistic and inauthentic

I'm not sure if it's really them being homophobic though. Yes I see the comments that CLEARLY demonstrate their views on homosexuality, but a fair amount of them take more issue with the notion that the reveal is more for forced diversity.

If he's gay, I'm cool with that. 'm just hesitant on Blizzard's intentions. I would not put it past them to shoehorn the reveal for brownie points.

I don't care what he is He could be a fucking alien and I wouldn't care I only care if a character gameplay is fun or not END OF STORY But did we need to know his sexuality ? Does it add anything to the plot ? And why didn't they tell us the sexuality of all the characters ?

You know the sexuality of loads of straight characters. You know Widowmaker killed her husband, you know Tobjorn has a wife and like 1000 kids. You know Ana was married to a man, you know Mercy and Genji were in love.
