How did you figure out that if I may ask? I use 2 different cards. One for streaming and the other for recording.

If you use OBS, there is a handy "record output while streaming" option in the settings. You would only need one capture card as well.

Right but if you do that it records the stream itself and not just the footage

I just ended up doing it in both softwares tbh. Captured in Game Capture, window captured that software for OBS.

does your capture device not show up as a video capture input in OBS proper? or was it because as you recorded in the other software, it prevents you from using both like that?
