So Majora's Mask 3D. Great remake. Looks amazing even on a 240p screen. Grezzo did a great job. ...But look at how much of their work gets stuck behind that resolution.pic.twitter.com/1mkaoKjlYA

Not anymore! Goes all the way up to 4K now. That's about all you can do though. A TON of games run perfectly on it already.
Really? That's sick! I know with Dolphin you have to download special HD texture packs to make games look closer to HD resolution. Does it work the same here or is it just a matter of a simple options screen?
I’m not sure “upscale” is the right term since the emulated games are never taken at the original resolution, which would then be upscaled. I think emus adjust the “internal” rendering resolution. That’s why models for PS1 look so freakishly smooth and plastic like.
But the 240p thing is why 3DS capture boards seem so....awful sometimes. The PSP output 480p over component (I think), tho the screen was only 272. It’s not bad. 3DS capture sends what is essentially a 240pJPEG to a computer over USB and scaling what is already compressed is bad.
