Just finished Kirby Star Allies. Man, what a great game. Feeling an 8.5 on this one. I’ll do a Rush Review on it, I think.

I love Kirby. I'm currently pretty sad how much this game let me down. Its definitely good for newcomers since its the easiest game in the series. But it offers nothing new, and previous games handled the core experience much better IMO. Nice to see people enjoy it though :p
Well I am curious to know why you are let down since I am not a big Kirby guy by any stretch. But at the end of the day you are right, if people have fun that's all that matters :)

The level design is really bland. There's no level gimmicks. Previous games had like, waddle dees driving cars, cutting down trees, giant robot hands pushing you from the background. Every level pretty much had something new in it. Difficulty is very badly balanced too.

I agree. I don't think it's groundbreaking but I appreciated all the things they did with it to increase the game's lifespan. I also enjoy that it's a Kirby game on the Switch. All they have to do now is release a new Pikmin and Animal Crossing and I'm a happy camper.
