I beat Astral Chain. It was fantastic although I think there a few flaws. Here's my Platinum Games list from favorite to least favorite (that I've played): -Wonderful 101 -Bayonetta 2 -Bayonetta -Astral Chain -Nier Automata -MadWorld -Anarchy Reigns -Transformers Devastation
I definitely rank Astral Chain lower. I was actually let down by it. Maybe it's the combat or the story I couldn't care even a little bit about. Sure I like the flashiness of it, but other Platinum just had more personality and finesse to everything

Man I absolutely love the combat in Astral Chain but it's not for everyone. I can totally see not being super invested in the story though.

The combat took me a while to get a hang of, particularly after I got 3 legions under my belt and I got to unlock sync attacks. The story is a drag, but I think I was spoiled after spending 180 hours in Three Houses.
