I'm shooting for at the earliest, Fall 2020, since we got a good handful of scenes for the first reveal, compared to a brief yet pointless sequence for BOTW1's first trailer, which suggests some good progress has been made already, probably due to it working right off the first.
I think I was the only weirdo that when I saw the BotW sequel announcements I got REALLY worried. Because they barely showed anything which means MAYBE it'll be out 2021 at the earliest. I mean, Metroid Prime 4 and Bayonetta 3 were announced in 2017 and where are they now?

I think it's fine. There's so many other games coming out in between so just the fact that they showed it is good enough for me.

Maybe but it's kind of obvious they'll make a sequel for it so announcing it that early is kind of a red flag for me.

2021 at the earliest is a safe bet. Honestly feels like it'll be out before Prime 4 since they did show something and is just running the same engine as BotW. To be fair, though, they did have to start over on Prime 4. And Bayo 3 seems to be backburning for Astral Chains.
