Smash is practically built for sharing videos on social media. It even has a video editor. But you can't. Got people recording their replays with their phone like it's 2008 over here.
Because it's better to get that than the cheap 30$ cards that have mediocre framerate, awful color accuracy, and hideous audio-video lag. Plus that device can only do 720p at 60fps. This is not about youtube money, some people want to capture things to express themselves.

I wasn’t even thinking about the moneyary return on that, just that you’d be able to upload it in 60 fps. My thought was that it’s not going to look like a modern game no matter what. In any case, there’s no reasont to get so mad.

I am not mad, just explaining myself. And you can't make a retro game look great in composite no matter what, then we are talking SCART and RGB and that's a whole different can of worms.
