Am I the only one struggling to love Red Dead Redemption 2? It looks and sounds great but the controls and UI can be really cumbersome honestly. Not saying it isn't deserving of the praises it gets, but I wish to really love it like others do.

How early into the game are you? I haven’t played it at all (yet) but I did hear these same criticisms from people who, MUCH farther into the game, have later found it all worth it, not so bad, making sense, forgiving it, etc.
Yeah so I have heard too. I am about 7 hours in or so. It's more that you have to memorize so many control schemes and the menu can be really confusing. Oh and the dead time going from area to area. After playing something like Spider-Man it really stands out like a sore thumb.

Apparently this game is a long-haul experience. Like, 6, 7, 8 years from now people are still supposed to be loading it up to live in the world for a while. I can understand a game being THAT kind of fulfilling—I STILL play Skyrim when I want to “go for a walk and get some air.”
