I get that the reception for Venom is starkly different between the critics who hated it and the audience that loved it. Honestly? I am with the critics on this one. I went into it expecting a shitty movie and came out amused. It wasn’t amazing, but it managed to entertain me enough. I’d be okay with a sequel.
Well I was amused too for all the wrong reasons. I do hope if there is a sequel it'll have some MCU charm.

I did enjoy that they made the rival boyfriend a likeable character who wasn’t a jerk to Eddie. That’s a plus.
