You know, with all the complaints about Nintendo Switch Online, one things just came up to my mind. Why can't you send just text messages to people? Not even voice message, just have a small under your friend to send a short message. Seems like an unfortunate oversight.

Nothing new. Every time Nintendo introduces any kind of communication service, they retract it. It's strange to me that they even still try. They're too worried about how it gets used, especially with their reputation as a more child-friendly platform.

hence.. Swapnote going kaput. And Miitomo. And emoticons for communicating trades in pokemon. They had a message board service too that went out a year or so ago.
