I really get confused when folks say America is “more polarized” than ever before. Like...ever?! EVER?!? Also is polarization our WORST problem because I am perfectly fine being polarized *by white supremacy.* We’ve framed this entire conversation wrong.

The problem I've always had with the Woody Allen defenders is that he literally married his step daughter and everyone decided that the crazy person in the situation was Mia Farrow for being upset about it. THAT'S HER DAUGHTER

I think this anthology will be an opportunity to hear from a lot of voices that can tell intriguing and moving stories...personally I'm looking for strong narratives that incorporate the theme of the anthology without sacrificing the storytelling. Don't preach to me Enrapture me

My father in Cairo weeks before he’d be assassinated at age 39. Despite following his every move an FBI informant called him, “a man of high moral character who neither smokes nor drinks.” He spoke truth to power, and we know that truth is timeless. Rest In Peace, Dad 2/21/1965🌟

Hopefully no one minds a little shameless promotion while we're here ... if you like all these WIP lists, I imagine you might like Noir At The Bar: L.A., which is making its return from pandemic paralysis this Friday, 2/26, and it's completely free.

Read #16 ‘s My Darkest Prayer. I loved Blacktop Wasteland and had high hopes for this: it was a great small town crime story & flew by in a few small sittings. The plot is intriguing, but it’s the ensemble of well-developed characters that reigns. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
