Nope. I grew up celebrating Juneteenth when it wasn't cool. I would hate for it to be turned into just another day to get a discount on a mattress or washing machine.
Guess that is the question, were actual Black folks consulted about whether we wanted a federal Juneteenth holiday? My concern is these efforts are too often distractions for the real work that doesn't get done.
