My heart is bursting. On the eve of my first child's birth, my dad - who's been in prison nearly my entire life - was granted clemency. He never intended harm, yet his crime devastated many families. My heart breaks for the families that can never get their loved ones back.

David has been in jail for more than 35 years. That’s a lot longer than most people serve for murder. So where is the privilege? I am very happy for David, his father, and his soon to be born child.

What triple murder cases are you aware of where 3 victims--including 2 cops-- were killed and the defendant only serves 35 years? In many states, killing a cop is a death penalty offense. 35 years seems like a slap on the wrist for triple murder.
