Do these renewables numbers include hydroelectric generation? If yes, then the renewables they want to foist on people, wind and solar, are a smaller subset.
No, renewables are not taking over the world. It would be nice if renewables were cheaper and better than fossil fuels. It could cut our soaring electricity bills, power the third world, fix climate. Oh, there are lots of interesting researchers around. Also, a lot of the 'mainstream' researchers are aware of all these challenges I find
@RogerPielkeJr (policy(,@RichardTol (economics) and@curryja (science) very interesting and easy to understand

So misleading. <1 GW in 1850. 1950 was hydro power (not as green as you think!) Nuclear really is the greenest energy option and anyone that does not include that in their plan isn't really looking out for the environment!
