Been in SF for 2 hours and it’s heartbreaking. Streets lined with people keeled over, worse than ever. Drugs everywhere. I step into one store where a shoplifter gets caught and beats up a cashier until the police come.
Heading back to the airport.
Congrats @chesaboudin!

Market, right? Some things don't change; I stopped wearing sandals the month I moved into SF.

I wear flip-flops or sandals pretty much every day in SF in the summer and fall. Guess you moved into the wrong neighborhood.

Mission, then the Castro; guess you are in the sunset?

Good guess. The only thing to complain about the Sunset is the fog. The Castro is nice in many areas, the Mission is a mixed bag but there are some good sections.

24th and Shotwell. Then Douglass for the main, near the fab Kite Hill; saw SF's best &the worst, perhaps in that order; Nextdoor is classic "I got mine, don't know where you'll get yours, honey" on Castro and both aren't great places to go toeless. Great mushroom hunting by you!

Ocean-side air w/low soil acidity, shade, fresh woodchips from the humans & intermittent southern sun; it's Disneyland for those guys =] Still have a membership at Lincoln Park--terminus of the 1st transcontinental highway!--but TBH GG park is where one can get lost in nature.
