This is one of the coolest—and craziest—changes in Swift 3.https://twitter.com/swiftlang/status/788138388285120512 …

The new os_log() writes into the system log. Is there some way for an app to collect those logs later? If not, why would devs want os_log()?

The iPhone7 home button feels most strange when the phone is resting on a table. Without feeling it in hand, the illusion of motion is lost.
-
The iPhone 7 home button definitely feels different, but it still passes the "My brain can't believe there's not a moving part here" test.

Got a new iPhone 7! I'm pretty sure the entire screen doubles as a speaker… I can definitely feel it rumbling!

Probably the very best thing to read to understand Trump’s popularity, is this Cracked (!) piece. Amazing: http://www.cracked.com/blog/6-reasons-trumps-rise-that-no-one-talks-about/ …

When your algorithm needs overloads for half-open and closed ranges, consider extending RandomAccessCollection: https://oleb.net/blog/2016/10/generic-range-algorithms/ …

So, it turns out this works in an Xcode playground (macOS): let panel = NSFontPanel.shared() panel.makeKeyAndOrderFront(nil)

I’m really not sure why the internet advertising machine thinks I’m perpetually interested in men’s underwear. It’s kinda strange.

And let’s be honest; Trump’s chances in this election are incredibly slim. Why not vote for a conservative you can actually get behind?
-
(Honestly, I’m nearly 100% aligned with Clinton on the issues, so I’ll probably be voting for her. But McMullin appeals to my (R) roots.)

Conservatives who are
#NeverTrump should really take a solid look at Evan McMullin. You might like what you see.https://www.evanmcmullin.com -

Is it possible to do something like this in Swift? Binding both ‘error’ and ‘x’? catch let error as MyErrors.keyMissing(let x) { }

Is NSFileWrapper the only instance of “Wrapper” in Cocoa? It feels so out of place.

I've collected my lldb efforts into a moment, for more accessible frustration.
"LLDB hates dictionaries"https://twitter.com/i/moments/786229406159089664 … -
Seriously, lldb. A debugger shouldn’t make it so hard to inspect values. This is ridiculous.
-
In order to make it work with an iterator, I have to be even more verbose: (lldb) p print( (Array(nodeIterator) as NSArray).description)
