We can read 50 words, but who said we want to? Character limit is what makes Twitter different, changing it will be the loss of its identity

There still is a character limit! Science and study showed us phonetic languages want and need ~280. Not everyone will use this amount.

We are. Today we had everyone in the company join an @TwitterSafety all hands. We've made a lot of progress, but more work to be done.

I appreciate this, but you (and especially @jack) need to do better at engaging the community on those efforts. We don't see any results.

Not according to the research. Phonetic languages hit the limit too often while character based languages rarely go beyond half the limit.
