Lucifer (HE/HIM)’s Tweets

I was 29yrs old when I was diagnosed with #HIV, the year was 2004, we had three options as gay men in #Nigeria; 1, wait & die. 2, get on AZT and deal with side effect, 3, be disowned by the community. Today I am 45yrs, I am still here, still living and still slaying

You don’t have to swing one way to understand. There is something they call empathy. Your idea of doesn’t look normal is part of the problem we have in the world today; what really is normal and who defines it? Take time to learn something new and I hope this experience will help

Three years ago, this boy from Mushin married his husband. If someone had told me this dream will become a reality I will say not for me. Every love is valid and it does get better.

Whatever your view about this tweet, I hope we all can agree that asked what any right minded person in this country should be asking the BBC. If you see it as disrespecting, then maybe, just maybe, you need to check yourself.

Dear @bbc, Why are your presenters wearing poppies? Your rules ban "virtue signalling no matter how worthy the cause". If presenters can support war-related campaigns on the news, surely they can show they believe in equality for black & gay people? Or is that against BBC values?

Same Nigerians that cant face their pastor and ask for what they are using their offerings for, are levelling allegation of corruption against a group of people that risked their lives for them. I honestly cant deal with Nigerians.

Aside from fear, male homophobia is principally driven by fragile toxic masculinity. The way homophobic men see gay relationships, say a lot about how they perceive women and what kind of respect they have for women. This might sound simple, but it is profound.

Dear gay men, unless a man tells you he is straight, you have a right to epxress your feelings towards him. Dear straight man, when a gay man says he has a feeling for you, be honourable and say "thank you but I am only into girls". Just same way lesbians have been nice to you.

Dear Nigerians, if you care about #floydgeorge but you don’t know the name of the boy in the picture, ask yourself why! That boy was a gay boy lured from Grindr and killed two months ago, and the killer made a video they shared online! There was no outrage. Not one!

This pic is from last year during routine health check for HIV. I was diagnosed with virus 16yrs, been on treatment now for 13yrs. I am undetectable and living the best of my life. Remember, stigma, shame and discrimination kills faster than the virus. #worldaidsday #UequalsU

Every Yoruba movie in Nigeria ends with a Christian prayer & we wonder why people are scared of traditional Yoruba culture. In every movie, traditional beliefs are evil and Christianity always come to the rescue. It is high time Nollywood acccpted their role in cultural erosion

LGBTQ Nigerians have the same legitimate right to actively protest for their freedom and liberation during this historical time in Nigeria, anyone that says otherwise is not a lover of justice and history won’t remember them well. #EndSWAT #EndSARS

It is not so much about the fact that this person is wishing us dead, but the fact that he mocks the dead just to drive home is hate. I am aware of my privilege as a gay man from Nigeria and that’s why I will use every blood in me to make Facebook post like this unfashionable

Dear straight people, making out in public and being told to get a room is a privilege. For Queer people, the mere thought of daring to hold hands in public in of itself is an act of defiance that can and has cost lives.

When a Nigerian man tells you I am an activist, ask him; does that include LGBT, feminist and disability rights? I bet my life 90% of the time it is a NO! Nigerian man’s activism is about upholding toxic masculinity and deadly patriarchy. #EndSARS ‘This Nigeria belong to us all”

Dear , I hope that you will openly offer the same apology you offered on CH here to the #LGBTQ community in Nigeria. As a process of healing and reconciliatory, the community needs to see it and your followers also learn as well. Thank you.

Thank you so much Ireti and this is the point I was making. First there is the assertion from her that being "introverted" is a problem, which is not for many people. Then she failed to see the biological explanation for this, and blame it on the parents. I mean really?

Yesterday, questioned the integrity of men and women who are licking their wounds from the abuse and brutality of the #SARS team in Nigeria, simply because he has never been a victim. Omojuwa has a voice and he chose to misused it when it matters most. Shame!

To the baby on the way, dads can’t wait. To people looking to adopt, please do it. To Black Africans in the U.K. there are many Black kids looking for forever home, we should stop allowing tradition to deny them of that joy

This year, I will use every homophobic tweet, Facebook post, Instagram post, youtube videos, television shows, radio chat and all form of media targeting #LGBT in Nigeria as a means of pushing and advocating for equality. This is not the year to be a victim. The Phoenix has risen
