  2. In the workshop, ~20 kids learned about our resident , migratory and woodland , the challenges they face and how to monitor them! Our young Bird Ambassadors also provided great ideas to bring positive change in the !

    It's a day late, but for a whiskered tern "terned" up. Habitat normally ponds, saline lakes, sewerage ponds, vegetated/open wetlands. Today coastal intertidal sand flats. 1st for me here on Port Hacking.

    Happy ! Our surveys at Corner Inlet, one of the sites in Australia, remind us of the importance of wetlands for our migratory and resident . This is a small sample of some survey findings. Can you ID all species?

    Did you know there are ~2500 breeding on Wright Island? This is their main breeding spot on the Fleurieu Peninsula & the City of Victor Harbor has put up new signage to help protect these . Follow the signs! More👉

    Photos of birds injured or killed by bushfires or hailstorms — although distressing — can be of value if they are logged via ’s Birdata, ’ eBird or . It’s important to record which birds died where and when. Thanks for reminding us.
