Answer: both gets rejected if the simple idea isn’t actually evaluated properly. Simplicity or potential for use is not a cover for bad work! I’m not saying complex work will get accepted either. And complexity usually has to be justified, so this is a bit of strawman

but hell I'll try that this year. I think the paper we're planning to submit might have too much systems crap and have to go to OOPSLA instead. And I am seriously (for the first time ever) considering submitting to OSDI.
