Similar confusion, my daughter is named after her great grandmother Emogene. What the E is doing there I don't know. She threw in the towel in middle school and goes by Emma.

I went by Emma for about 8 years because of confusion and downright refusal to try to learn my name. A lot of people I went to school with have no idea who Imogene is, ha!
