Treading Carefully 0.1: Continuing from yesterday's thread on the definitions of the Acc strands, it was - roughly - agreed that the contention between the 2 currently deadlocked camps (U/Acc & R/Acc) is in actuality a question of free will -
This is an uncharitable definition of R/acc imo. I too want to “mobilize materialism,” rek Oedipus etc etc. I certainly have no “political theology.” Right politics is simply a short-term means, albeit of sufficient importance to emphasize.
-
-
I think emphasis matters more than anything: —U/acc emphasizes that politics isn’t the point of acceleration —R/acc emphasizes acceleration can’t be politically agnostic in the short term They’re not even necessarily different; but they invite different confusions.
-
That's not bad actually, there's something in those definitions. One would then ask, does uacc feel that it's apolitical nature will get us to singularity?
-
I wouldn’t say it’s apolotical (again, in the short term). It just doesn’t make a special point of emphasizing its politics.
-
It doesn't emphasise it's politics but in the short term it's *not* apolitical. Ok.
-
Exactly. For example, U/acc can’t be agnostic with respect to political organizations that cannibalize capital.
-
So which political organizations would uacc align itself with in the short term?
-
Whatever can best stop hellcommunism. It depends on where’s you live. The ideal is Moldbug-style patchwork, politics is displaced onto the marketplace. But that’s quite far from reality almost everywhere.

I swear English is my first language
