Actually it's mostly Byline that fact-checks other media. The Guardian has been complicit in spreading stuff from papers like Daily Mail, Sun etc. Just check their reports on Meghan.

Mail are so used to “sloppy “ work that they don’t realize that most of us write carefully thought out letters and take pride in our handwriting.

Meghan is a professional calligrapher. That’s how she earned money when she was a struggling artist. The mail knows that cos they’ve written about it.

They don't care about winning this case. They'll have made more money through publishing the story and follow ups than they'll ever have to pay out. Painting Meghan as evil gets them clicks. Pushing this narrative again in their legal defence is designed to get them more money.

@BrianCathcart is there any relevance to the case after TM said he only gave the letter to the MOS to defend himself, after he alleged that Meghan’s friends made negative comments about him in an earlier People magazine. His defence was that he just wanted his side put forward. -
I searched by Google their article after that Meghan sued. Daily Fail article used expression ' FULL letter' , also Scum copied info & wrote its 'FULL letter'. While
@BInvestigates showed letter was published like this, with distorted meaning.
