When I first started trying to write mocks in Jest, I was massively confused. Now that I've gotten the hang of it, I wrote a blog to help others avoid the frustration I went through. Let me know what you think!

Finding a new job is uncomfortable. Starting a company is uncomfortable. Learning a new skill is uncomfortable. Getting healthy is uncomfortable. Growth is uncomfortable.

I would definitely do RxJS before NgRx. You may also want to check this out:

The secret to code highlighting taught me in March: 1) create boxes the same color as your background. 2) reduce opacity to ~70% 3) place boxes over code you want to hide. 4) dupe slide, move boxes 5) add .5s dissolve transition BOOM! Fancy code highlighting!

I'm working on adding NgRx (Redux w/RxJS) to a feature that has been using plain RxJS Subjects for state management. I want to illustrate the difference between the two. When you have one Subject, it feels a like Redux adds all this ceremony that just slows you down. (thread)

💡Ever wanted to just log the errors in your RxJs pipes? This is, in fact, entirely possible with the existing `tap` operator! It actually takes three possible parameters: ⏭️ next 🆘 error ✅ complete You can handle all three of these possible notifications, or any combination:

It’s okay to admit when you don’t know something. One of the most important skills in software is being able to find answers and learn from them.

Who's hiring devs, especially remotely? I get asked this *a lot* & unfortunately my list of qualified candidates far exceeds my list of jobs to recommend. Losing a lot of good peeps to other tech ☹️ Comment 👇 if you're hiring, incl if remote. And pls RT for reach!

Want to use margin-left to move something off the page to *infinity*?? Yeah, here ya go: `margin-left: calc(-1*(1/0));` looks like we are about to make this work, too: `margin-left: calc(-infinity);`

Unfortunately, this is something very common in the OSS world. "Be a maintainer of large open source project is not a fun task. You always face with rude and hate, everyone knows better how to build software, nobody wants to do homework" 👇
