“I’m very aware of the profoundness of the MOVE thing." Ivy Leaguers have only contempt for anyone who isn't an Ivy Leaguer.

That statement alone, “the MOVE thing,” is maddening

FTA: "The indifferent treatment of the remains is not new. At Penn, according to people with first-hand knowledge, they were not kept in climate-controlled storage. They were kept in a cardboard box on a shelf." I reiterate
@Haver_Lisa's question. WAIT, WHAT

Half of the storage in the museum is not climate controlled. Bones are not likely to be damaged by fluctuating temps/humidity. You may find it disrespectful, but that's how those remains are stored. it's not different from other bones in the collections.

Sorry but WHY? After seeing the HBO doc this year "40 Years a Prisoner" & my own recollections of both MOVE/PPD clashes as a child & then young adult, I am unsure why the family wouldn't have these remains.
-
That was my thought. I find it hard to believe that absolutely nobody wanted to claim these people’s bodies and lay them to rest. I guess there might be possible circumstances but it seems off to me.

These fucking ghouls! "During her recent analysis, Monge also apparently used them as teaching materials in a public online forensics course. In the video, Monge and a Penn student prod the bones before the camera like chipper science teachers."
