I think it's a matter of the size of the content... I mean there's like 5 DT books, and 1 or 2 TD movies? That's just hard math to solve.
Seven 1000-page Dark Tower books compressed to 90 minutes on screen. Hope Steven King made lots of $$ for selling out.
