Most polls give these results. Its when you tack a price on the policy you see the real support. In 2018, 72% of Americans would not pay $10/month for stopping climate change.

Yes so long as it perpetuates economic growth as they start to realize they are falling behind rest of world. Once it’s positioned as transition & degrowth they tend to freak out. “Of course more green energy is good along w dark energy too just give me more $$”

Even the oil & gas industry knows that fossil fuels are bad business right now...If they’re smart they’ll adapt. If they’re stupid it will be coal industry 2.0 in ~20yrs.
