100% accurate. Almost all cryptocurrencies use an insane amount of energy and are completely antithetical to our environmental goals. There are many bad uses of energy today that at least provide some tangible value, bitcoin provides almost none.

But at least people are using fiat currency, and it provides value for people. Cryptocurrencies use more energy than many large countries and provide almost no value to most people on earth. Completely antithetical to our environmental goals.
