I'm in Canada and I strongly disagree with this statement! Google life expectancy in the states vs Canada or Australia. Healthcare is a right, not a nice-to-have for those who can afford it.

My Australian friend said he loves his healthcare and to not have it would be the same as not having public roads. It just doesn't make sense.

I've never spoken to or interacted with anyone from a country that has national healthcare that didn't want it or wanted it taken away. Not one. Ever.
