    Three days before this tweet, Buehler's campaign told OPB he would "not be taking positions on any measures until a measure has qualified for the ballot."

    There should be no confusion about my position on IP43-I oppose it. I support the 2A & have voted to defend it in the leg. There are sensible ideas to promote school safety & reduce gun violence, but IP 43 goes too far. It intrudes on basic freedoms & is likely unconstitutional.

    i pretty much mumble incoherently when asked this question, because yes, it’s so wildly varied!

    When people learn I'm a journalist, they sometimes ask what I write about. Impossible to answer simply, even reduced to one area—outdoor sports—I cover. This week, my "outdoor" stories involve data security, visual conspicuity, statistics and NASCAR.

    This is a very good thread. I wonder a bit about number 7, where says we need “fast, accurate,” news. I think we should really think through why we need news to be “fast” so badly, though Namako’s further point that bad info spreads so quickly perhaps informs why we do

    There was a lot of discussion yesterday about the intentional misinformation and hoaxes going around about the YouTube shooting The media industry also needs to reckon with legitimate outlets spreading bad information, too. While it's not intentional, it's just as unhelpful. 1
