It was called “headline news,” and now it’s 24 hours of missing white women

I miss Headline News. Especially Van Earl Wright with Headline Sports 20/50 after the hour.

CNN Headline News back in the 1980s. I knew what time it was by what anchor was on.

Save us Huntley/Brinkley, Cronkite, John Chancellor...you’re our only hope.

And some "focus groups" would find something wrong with all of them and their tenure would be far shorter than it was back in the day. It was ABC News that showed the future. Desperate to make a dent they ran through a number of different anchors. Looking for ratings.

Panel shows wouldn't be a problem if they weren't occupied by guests that are spiritually (and sometimes overtly) employed by campaigns, or perhaps have designs & future ambitions which cloud objective assessments.
-
But, unfortunately, isn’t that what panels are all about? Get some people on with biased opinions (either side) and watch them have a go at it?
