If USA hosted World Cup but prohibited fans from wearing #FreePalestine shirts, or France hosted but couldn’t provide halal food in stadiums or safe prayer spaces for Muslims, we’d rightly criticise them for repressing speech & making swathes of fans feel discriminated.
