    Praying for the recovery of two LA County Sheriff Deputies who are undergoing surgery after being shot this evening. The suspect is still at large.

    Moments ago, 2 of our Sheriff Deputies were shot in Compton and were transported to a local hospital. They are both still fighting for their lives, so please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. We will update this thread with information as it becomes available.

    Great weekend in Redondo Beach with CA101 art show beginning Friday night and Ocean Fest all weekend long at the Seaside Lagoon with Open Ocean Swimming events for the whole family. Pick an event! I will be at most of them. All you beginners join me for the 100m ocean swim.

    Just received letters from LA Sup Janice Hahn, State Senator Ben Allen & Assembly Member Al Muratsuchi asking Coastal Commission to Approve Measure C tomorrow with NO changes. BIG thanks to all 3 for supporting the voters and the Coastal Act.

    Officer Lofstrom and Ammo at LA County Canine Association demonstration at RBUHS today. Ammo specializes in patrol and explosives. Over 25 agencies from as far away as Whittier participated.

    Competed at Redondo triathlon today and found Council Member Emdee volunteering. Many thanks to all the volunteers and Redondo residents Rick and Connie Crump for Directing this event for 13 years! Next up, the brand new Redondo open water swim on July 15th. It’s 1-mile swim.
