Yep. Medical school and residency train you to take care of patients. It's a complex skill set based on science, but it's not science. It's also not really about critical thinking outside the parameters of known medical science. You’re right about what is taught, but some of the best doctors do think outside the box and can apply principles not necessarily learned in med school and residency to improve care of patients.
