Feel oddly naked unless I'm sat in the middle of a pile of TVs and projectors.

Who knew that widescreen TVs were invented to accommodate social distancing?

Daughter just informed us that she said to her maths teacher today ‘Sorry sir, but I take the ability out of probability.’ 😂😂

Genuinely dreamt last night that my wife got pissed at me because I kept trying to make my daughter collect glowing globes inconveniently scattered around my weirdly ruined home town. Much to unpack there, but main point is that I’m probably playing too much Elden Ring.

Just had confirmation that HDR will be in play on the Sky Sports F1 channel from this weekend for all F1 races, qualifiers and practice sessions - plus most other support races! Though HDR won't be available for 'background' programmes such as Ted's Notebook or Any Driven Monday

Freeview Play and LG have announced a new five-year agreement this morning, so after the unexpected Freeview Play issues of LG's 2020 TVs, UK LG TV buyers won't have to worry about potentially not getting the main UK terrestrial broadcaster apps again until 2027.

The strange 'Ultra HDR' wording used on Sky's menus seems to be a mistake rather than some weird new format to worry about. You can just say 'Hello Sky, Formula 1' to quickly get to your Sky system's F1 content.

Sky's official PR on F1 HDR has arrived. And actually there isn't anything in it that needs a new story to cover. The coverage will be 4K HDR on Sky Glass & compatible Sky Q boxes from Friday, and this is the first time F1 has truly been broadcast in HDR:

While Samsung still might not be saying much about its QD OLED TVs, retailers look like they're ready to go:

Apologies to all my clients waiting on work from me - I just suffered a paper cut right where one of my fingers hits the keyboard, so as any man will know I will now need to be on bed rest for the next 3-4 weeks. 🤕💀

Saw The Batman in Dolby Cinema today, and loved it. Just the sustained brooding moodiness I wanted. Plus the arrival of the batmobile was so testosterone fuelled it actually made me do an involuntary macho jaw clench. 😂

I actually finally managed to defeat a boss on Elden Ring last night and honestly feel as if the occasion should be celebrated with a national holiday. 😅

Let's hope Sony can make plenty of these, as I've got a feeling it's going to need them -

It looks like it's a case of onward and upward for LG's OLED story, as 2022 looks set to be another vintage year for AV fans:

Sony A95K QD OLED pictures looking next-gen stellar during demonstrations today. Demos included real world video sources as well as test signals, too - plus telling (in a good way) comparisons with Sony’s legendary £30K X300V2 OLED mastering monitor.
