Association doesn't imply causation. Maybe it's the other way around: maybe people go vegan because they're less intelligent to start with.

Such studies should take into account a few hundred million people who don't eat meat (do eat dairy) in India and continue to produce some of the world's best engineers and computer scientists. Studies like these assume the underlying genome is universal = demo bias in data.

It is possible that children of parents who are meat eaters will suffer disadvantages when they lack nutritional elements that they have been genetically pre-programmed to prefer.
