    At 13½p per year each, that's £115k per year of Short money to fund 's staff in Parliament. So there's no such thing as a wasted vote! Though this whole feels like such a wasted opportunity.

    UK politics has become a game show, where experts and expertise aren't invited, unless it's in data mining, ad-targeting and slogan devising. Most of the people don't realise or care. Yet. But surely they will one day.

    This is not the worst. Worst is yet to come. But a story: 2 months ago, I hit deep low. Realised: journalism had failed. Authorities had failed. Politics had failed. But..now I think: fuck that shit. The EUref was illegally conducted. That’s just fact. And one day, it will matter

    It’s depressing when you see such a gently eloquent person as this lady... ... and realise that the are millions of people in this country who are an order of magnitude more kind, thoughtful and decent than Boris Johnson. Yet he is the one who is PM.

    Here's a list of some of the good things that benefit us because of the UK's EU membership. I've yet to see any benefits that come close to compensating for a fraction of these. A is what we need – as soon as possible.

    Google is another front in the election ads war - seems the Conservatives have bought the search term “postal vote” - and filling in the form should give them valuable data
