At last, I can finally curl up this evening and read the last few chapters of this beauty. I can't wait to finish though I'll be sad to say goodbye to Greta Gale.

Working with the book was one of my true joys last year. This account helped keep me sane during the madness and I'm very sad to see it go - but don't worry as the book is still on shelves across the UK & Ireland!

I'm sick to death of hearing politicians talk about putting money back in my pocket. I don't care about an additional €5 a year I just want to be able to go to the emergency room and not sleep on a chair for ten hours waiting for a CAT scan

Book lovers, a debut author asked me to explain last night why pre-orders are so important and it struck me that authors *gently encourage folks to do this but maybe it's not always clear why so here is a little thread on why they matter so much so here is a little thread..

This was my first foray into Virginia Woolf and I feel as though I perhaps have been missing out because she is absolutely wonderful. This is collection of essays she wrote for Times Literary Supplement. She hates Henry James and I heart her for it. (thank you !)

a hardback copy of Genius and Ink: Virginia Woolf on How to Read rests cover-up on a black blanket. the cover features an aqua and a red-pink inblot.

I read a LOT of good books last year, huge thumbs up to books in general really, but Lost Children Archive is the one that'll stick with me forever I think. I switched back and forth between ebook and audiobook, thank you BorrowBox, and the audiobook performance is stunning.
