    By any plausibly reality-based empirical measure, black New Yorkers were safer in their city under Giuliani than under Dinkins. For example, there were FOUR TIMES as many black victims of gun-related homicides in 1993 as in 1998.

    This exactly. Rudy ran for mayor on the same racist payback BS Trump would later use against . And he governed New York City in the most racially thuggish manner possible. Living in the city as a Black person was frightening with him as mayor. Dinkins deserves better.
