Have you seen the faces of the immigration officers greeting you as you land in Delhi from overseas?? Grim and surly. Then you walk into duty free and are surrounded by fresh faced, smiling youngsters and you feel welcome again

Hi Harsha, We sincerely hope this bouncer is not directed towards us! But if it was, we would really like to know the details of any issue you may have encountered at one of the VFS Global visa application centres. Do DM us so we can check and swiftly knock this out of the park.

Doesn't happen this way, sir. They do not listen. They reject the visa without giving a logical reason and money is wasted. I have a friend who's struggling to get a German visa even after we presenting all the required documents.

India has made things much easier in the last ten years, with the e-visa scheme for example. But London’s India House and the Delhi FRRO were not fun places to visit.

Looks like the idea is to make things as difficult as possible! Sums up an Indian in general who is in a slightest position of power and not just public services ! I think its trickled down from our social framework where we like to boast at power at every given opp.

Less than 10% of visa applications are from people going on holidays, the rest for education, jobs, business, immigration etc. Considering the amount of human trafficking and terrorism related activities taking place all around, they can't be complacent.

Ego, what else? Doing a favour to the tourists. This is what happens when they consider themselves bigger than their jobs!
