Long overdue, but maybe this humiliation can expedite matters, starting right at the top might be the most respectful thing he's done if he calls for at time for change

Bread has a higher glycemic index than sugar. If you eat two slices of bread, it’s worse for your blood sugar than having two tablespoons of sugar. You want to eat whole kernel bread.

I am a time-traveller from 2025. I lived through the events of 2020 which ruptured the fabric of society as we knew it then. As humans, we adapted, and survived. Here is what my world looks like now. This is my new normal. A thread..

The age of global pseudonymous scientific publication has begun. This is a well-sourced article making the case for laboratory escape & contrasting to zoonosis. Has explicit epistemology. Avoids obvious tinfoil hat gotchas. Provides links. Worth reading.

1/Many of you know that I have reported from many tense and emotional situations, namely covering school shootings in the United States. Covering childbirth in Venezuela was by far the most harrowing reporting experience I have had.

As always, clarity of thought and the articulate word, provides a foundational framework on thinking about this global situation. Not all practical but mostly, if I might add.

I've briefly checked 2 more studies. When tested in real life situations, the efficacy of medical masks is only slightly inferior as N95. No, medical masks do not work 100%, far from it. Yes, priority should go to healthcare workers. And no, they're not useless.

I’m 22 years old and I tested positive for COVID-19. I’ve been debating on posting, but I want to share my experience especially with those around my age to help bring awareness, and to relieve any stress/anxiety some may have due to the pandemic.

Consuming a high-sugar diet: • Accelerates tooth decay • Increases visceral body fat • Increases heart disease risk • Increases propensity for acne • Accelerates skin & cellular aging • Makes you susceptible to mood swings Your best bet: limit sugar --- Notes 👇

These 4 simulations (free-for-all, attempted quarantine, moderate distancing and extensive distancing) show how you can flatten the epidemic curve of a viral outbreak like SARS-CoV-2 and avoid a huge peak. In the last, only 1 of every 8 people moves

Interesting perspective. Really hope this theory turns out to be true.
