@bgtennisnation what was her exact reasoning? I briefly saw the press conference... Loss of desire for the game? How after that huge win?
Talk about going out on top the Genius Bartoli leaves at 28 when she surely could have made alot of money the next 12months.

@bgtennisnation either she is in a lot of pain...or made a quick emotional decision. Expecting her back faster than Brett Favre. -
@bgtennisnation I am sure winning more championships was more important to her than money. If I played, it would never be about the money. -
@bgtennisnation She's had enough...Wimbly one of her few bright sparks this yr. Injuries and coaching issues had to have taken their toll -
@BigBthe1@bgtennisnation She said she was in pain within 45 minutes of starting play - and she just couldn't do it anymore. Sad... -
@BigBthe1 said. Her body could not take it anymore -
@bgtennisnation Bartoli happy with decision. Clearly, there's something of greater importance to her in this life. Let's hope she finds it -
@bgtennisnation This is retirement #1, unless there's something going on no one's talking about. Favre holds the record. -
@bgtennisnation probably because she wasted 60% of her energy doing her crazy pre-point rituals -
@bgtennisnation what I don't understand is hours ago she tweeted so excited for new haven and to be in NYC for open? How the quick change? -
-
@bgtennisnation hurts me to ask this... U think if fed gets knocked out early of the open this is his last year? -
@bgtennisnation@ESPNTennis nothing wrong with taking control when it's right. Everyone has their time, personally I admire her for it! -
@bgtennisnation@ESPNTennis shookkkkkkk by all fans and her official fan club i cant stop crying !!!!!!! -
@bgtennisnation@ESPNTennis If it hurts Bartoli so much and life-long health involved, I doubt she cares that about making money. -
@bgtennisnation@ESPNTennis there's no fancy after wining Wimbledon unless you keep doing it... -
@bgtennisnation big enough resume for hof? Most appearances in GS, and 1 title. I'm thinking no. -
@bgtennisnation so she should be able to attempt a comeback or 2 at 28.
