      Generally you need to know how to use Borg. But there are good orientation classes. Average Googler needs little knowledge about HOW Borg works.

      How far does BCL creep into sufficient “use” knowledge? Are there minimum-bar use entry points that have normalized?

      BCL was used by everyone using Borg pretty much when I was there. There are good docs and patterns. It only trips people up as they try to do more complicated things. There are sharp edges for sure though.

      There were multiple issues, but the Borg surface area and ecosystem were huge and growing. Our original idea was to incrementally change Borg in place, and we went back to that.
