It is all about governance and votes. No company should be able to have majority votes. Regardless of its contributions. By default this isnt open governance.

Of course. That's a risk we need to take. We need everyone to agree that having more than 50 percent of votes shouldn't be allowed on any mature open source project.

At least, a mature open source project that purports to be vendor neutral. (I have no issue with, say, the
@HashiCorp model when a project is very clearly managed by a single vendor - but that’s a different proposition from community-driven)
